One year down....Eternity to go!

HA HA HA What a good start. James just looked at the computer and looked at me, giving me the stink eye and said, "Nice title, you sound so enthused."
For all of you who do not understand my sense of humor, it's a joke, I really do love James. Now to the meat and potatoes of the story. We have made it to one year! This is so exciting because we still like each other and still wanna be married. I'd say we are headed in the right direction!
Because the end of the Summer was so busy we didn't have a lot of time to get out and do something really crazy like we wanted, but we did end up having an adventure. We decided to go up to Bear Lake for the day. The plan was to get up and out early so we could spend the whole day but, we didn't get up there as early as we hoped. We spent a good 2 hours looking for some kind of floaty device, apparently they put those away in July, and we had to comb every store in Logan. After we finally found one we were starving and had to stop at subway for lunch. By the time we finally got to Bear lake and found a beach that wasn't super packed the day was half over. We had quite the trip. By the time James finally convinced me the water wasn't that cold the wind picked up. Within 5 minutes the extremely packed beaches were.....EMPTY. With the wind came thunder storms and sand blowing everywhere. We tried to chase our belongings down as the wind carried them away and finally reached the car. James had this great idea to take a short cut to the road we came in on. Before I could say no we were engine deep in sand. We dug and dug until our arms almost fell off and then some very kind men on four wheelers offered to pull us out. PHEW! We are still pulling sand out of everything one month later.

This is my anniversary gift.....A shiny rock and snail shells

James, the hunter of all swimming toys inflates his winnings

It doesn't look that bad from this picture, but believe you me, it was!

We stopped at Raspberry days on the way out, but everything was closing because of the crazy wind.
